The Soul Behind Our Skincare

How ancient wisdom, family rituals, and a deep love for healing foods shaped Feels Like Sunday

There’s a quiet kind of healing that doesn’t come in a jar or a pill. It’s passed through hands in the kitchen, in the steam of tea, the scent of toasted spice, or the stories told over a shared meal. This is where my love for Natural healing & Ayurveda began—not in textbooks, but at home.

And when I think about what truly Feels Like Sunday, it’s this: The rhythm of family, The preparation of comfort meals passed down the generations, the aroma of warm turmeric and cinnamon and other spices steeped with care… Masala tea to be precise, healing that begins long before you touch your skin.

Healing Rooted in Nature
Ayurveda, the ancient science of life from India, teaches us that healing starts from within—through balance, food, breath, rest, and plants.

This approach isn’t about quick fixes. It’s about honoring your body’s cycles, your inner fire, and the natural world around you. It’s the art of asking: What do I need today to feel whole?
That question has become the heartbeat of Feels Like Sunday.

Botanicals With Purpose: Inside Our Roots To Radiance Mask
Our Roots to Radiance Mask Powder is inspired by Ayurvedic ingredients that have been trusted for generations:

Chickpea Flour
A staple in Ayurvedic beauty, chickpea flour gently exfoliates, evens tone, and draws out impurities without stripping the skin. In many homes, this was the pre-wedding glow ritual.

Oat Flour
While not traditionally Ayurvedic, oats are grounding, cooling, and balancing—ideal for calming the skin and soothing inflammation, especially when combined with warming herbs.

Turmeric
Golden and powerful, turmeric is used both in the kitchen and for skin—it’s anti-inflammatory, brightening, and deeply healing. It reminds me of how every curry and every skincare ritual in our home had a touch of yellow. Ashwaghanda Aka Indian Ginseng Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory offering amazing benefits for the skin including fighting acne, anti-ageing and improve the skins natural glow. Lotus Powder

A natural skin cooling, hydrating, brightening and anti-ageing ingredient, its packed with antioxidants and flavonoids which soothes inflammation, sebum balancing, tightens pores and promotes radiant glowing skin.
These aren’t just ingredients—they’re reminders of a lineage of women who healed through the land and the kitchen.

I literally spent most of my teens mixing spices, making hydrating face spritz blends, all from the kitchen cupboards!

Tea, Spice & Family: My First Apothecary
Some of my deepest memories of healing didn’t come from stores or labels. They came from cups of ginger tea when I felt sick, Hot Rasam soup and many other age old remedies passed down the generations – It has stuck with me or rather it ignited my passion!

Spices were medicine. Meals were ritual. And healing was love in action.
There was always a tea on the stove, a balm being stirred, or a face mask made from scratch. Not to sell, but to soothe. This is where Feels Like Sunday was born—long before I gave it a name.

The kitchen taught me to trust the simple. And Sunday… Sunday taught me to rest.
Together, they became the foundation of a brand that honors inner and outer healing.
